Tropical mango and cauliflower smoothie

If there is anything that get's me feeling summery it's the taste of tropical fruit. That bright zingy flavour make me feel like I should be sat on a beach somewhere!

That's why this is my new favourite smoothie, the weather may not fell quite like summer yet but this smoothie is certainly brightening up my day!


This smoothie is a great hit with parents and kids. Kids tend to love the bright yellow colour and fruity flavour and it's great for us parents as we know they have got a portion of vegetables as well as fruit.

The frozen cauliflower works great as it is white so keeps the colour as opposed vegetable like spinach that can turn a smoothie green or brown when mixed with berries (not so appealing for kids). And it also adds a creamy flavour so is a great alternative to banana.


Recipe:

Makes one large (600ml or 2 small smoothies)


Ingredients:

85g Frozen cauliflower (2 florets)

100g Frozen mango

1 tbsp Hemp seeds

1 tbsp Lime juice

1 tsp ground turmeric (optional)

350ml coconut milk


Method:

Add all ingredients to a blender and enjoy!
